Mission
To provide Life Science Researchers and the Pharmaceutical Industry with analytical tools for investigating metabolic, signaling and secretory function in live tissue.

Problem Facing Biomedical Researchers

General goal in biomedical research: to understand in vivo human physiology. BUT, the ability to do research at early stages of development on humans are obviously limited.  Animal models are used, but are expensive, time consuming, low throughput, and importantly, in vivo studies do not allow for detailed study of intracellular mechanisms.

Solution

Live tissue obtained from humans or animals: a balance between emulating in vivo function while allowing for a wide array of detailed measurements.  A key utility of the BaroFuse to study tissue function is the flow culture system that provides adequate oxygenation of the tissue to maintain tissue function, while continuously assessing the metabolic and functional state of the tissue.

Investigational Modes

Providing continuous assessment allows the benefits of optimal tissue maintenance by fluidics to be realized by generating quantitative real time data that facilitates

Functional comparison between different tissues, treatment of tissues, human vs animal tissue;

Temporal- and concentration-dependent characterization of mechanistically related parameters;

Identification and study of rapid and slow biochemical regulatory mechanisms.

What We Offer

EnTox Sciences currently offers sales of the BaroFuse instrument and can perform experiments at fee for services.
